KAT YOUNG

Kat Young is a London based photographer. Her work is rooted in the everyday- family, home and the beauty of the natural world.

Her work gravitates toward textures and forms that carry an emotional weight, often centring on intimate moments. Through portraiture and elements of nature, she explores themes of personal and collective memory. Photography serves as a tool for connection—bridging her own childhood experiences with those of her daughter, linking the past and the present.

Kat has exhibited through Orleans Gallery, Feltham Arts, Shutterhub and at FORMAT23 as part of the East Meets West Masterclass programme. She is one half of artist collective SLANT.

Kat works as an artist educator for a variety of community organisations running outreach art programmes for young people.

Kat was educated at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and Kingston Art School.
